NFL Returns to Brazil in 2025 for Regular Season Game Featuring Los Angeles Chargers
The NFL has officially announced its return to Brazil in 2025, following the success of its historic first regular season game in São Paulo in 2024.
As part of the 2025 International Games, the Los Angeles Chargers will serve as the designated team for a Friday, September 5, 2025 matchup at Corinthians Arena. This venue, which previously hosted matches during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics, was also home to the NFL’s inaugural Brazil game, where the Philadelphia Eagles faced the Green Bay Packers on September 6, 2024.
Chargers Embrace Global Spotlight in Brazil
Chargers President of Business Operations, A.G. Spanos, expressed his excitement about the opportunity:
“It’s an honor to once again represent the NFL on an international stage. It’s also a tremendous opportunity to help grow the game and bring the Chargers brand to millions of sports fans across Brazil and Latin America. One of the great countries of the world, Brazil is as vibrant, dynamic, and culturally diverse as anywhere on the planet. We cannot wait to experience the warmth and passion of its people during our visit.”
With more than 36 million NFL fans in Brazil, the country ranks as the league’s second-largest international fanbase after Mexico.
