Leaked Images Unveil Haas New F1 Car
Recent leaks from a private shakedown at Silverstone have unveiled Haas F1 Team’s VF-25, showcasing notable design evolutions from its predecessor, the VF-24. While maintaining the foundational concept, the VF-25 introduces refined aerodynamic features and structural enhancements.
Front Wing and Nose Design
The VF-25’s front wing retains a configuration reminiscent of the 2024 model. However, a significant modification is evident in the nose cone’s attachment, now positioned on the main plane of the wing rather than the second element. This adjustment aims to optimize airflow management, reducing outwash and improving efficiency toward the radiator intakes. Notably, these intakes feature a “lip” design, drawing inspiration from the Ferrari SF-24’s post-Imola iteration.
Sidepods and Engine Cover
The sidepods of the VF-25 exhibit a design closely aligned with the SF-24, characterized by a hollowed upper profile and a more pronounced duct compared to the VF-24. The engine cover mirrors this influence, particularly in the configuration and placement of cooling intakes, suggesting a collaborative synergy between Haas and Ferrari in aerodynamic strategies.
Floor and Suspension Enhancements
Advancements in the VF-25’s floor design build upon the previous season’s developments, featuring a side edge with a perpendicular slit ahead of the rear wheels to enhance aerodynamic performance. The suspension system transitions to a push rod setup at the front, aligning with Ferrari’s current design philosophy. The rear suspension maintains its previous architecture but incorporates revised connection points to accommodate the new Ferrari gearbox integration.
These insights into the VF-25’s design underscore Haas F1 Team’s commitment to iterative enhancement, leveraging established partnerships to remain competitive in the evolving Formula 1 landscape.
