Logan Paul Claims Egyptian Government Blocked His Visit to the Pyramids
WWE star and YouTuber Logan Paul has alleged that his planned trip to Egypt was unexpectedly canceled after the Egyptian government barred him from visiting the country.
Paul, who has frequently collaborated with fellow YouTuber MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), revealed that he was supposed to be part of a high-profile trip to the pyramids but was denied entry.
Why Was Logan Paul Banned from Visiting Egypt?
MrBeast’s latest video, in which he and his team received an exclusive tour of the Egyptian pyramids, has already amassed over 120 million views. While Logan Paul had hoped to be involved in the production, he revealed on his vlog that he was explicitly prohibited from joining the trip.
Paul recalled the conversation with Donaldson:
“MrBeast just uploaded a new video exploring the pyramids. I love the pyramids. So I was like, ‘Jimmy, can I come?’ And he was like, ‘For sure, dude.’ Then a week later, he called me and said, ‘Dude, unfortunately, the Egyptian government said that you can’t come—otherwise, we can’t come.’”
“I was like, ‘Wait, what? I know I’ve pissed people off, but the Egyptian government? I’ve never even been to Egypt. Why can’t I come to the pyramids, Jimmy?’ He said, ‘I don’t know—the government specifically said you are the only person that cannot come on this trip.’”
Logan Paul’s History of Travel Controversies
This isn’t the first time Logan Paul has encountered travel restrictions.
In 2017, he faced global backlash after uploading a controversial video from Japan’s Aokigahara Forest, commonly known as the “suicide forest”. The video included footage of a suicide victim, leading to widespread criticism.
Although Paul later apologized and stated he isn’t banned from Japan, he has mentioned he would only return if he received an official invitation.
Logan Paul’s WWE Controversy
Paul’s polarizing personality extends beyond his YouTube career. As a WWE performer, he is one of the most booed superstars on the roster.
In a recent interview, Paul addressed the hostile reaction from WWE fans, doubling down on his unfiltered opinions about the audience’s response to his character.
Despite the criticism, Paul continues to thrive in both wrestling and content creation, proving that controversy only fuels his ever-growing brand.
