
Rugby League Pundit Danika Priim Charged with Sexual Assault
Danika Priim, a well-known rugby league pundit who has appeared on BBC and Sky Sports, has been charged with sexual assault.
The 40-year-old is accused of sexually touching a woman at Horsforth Cricket Club in Leeds on July 22, 2022. She appeared before magistrates last Thursday but did not enter a plea. Priim is now set to appear before Leeds Crown Court on March 13.
Danika Priim’s Rugby Career & Media Role
Priim had a successful playing career in the Women’s Super League, representing Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos, as well as playing for England in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. She retired in 2021 and was recently appointed vice-president of the Rugby Football League (RFL).
RFL & Broadcasters Decline to Comment
The RFL has declined to comment on the charge or confirm whether Priim has been suspended from her role.
Priim has also worked freelance as a pundit for BBC and Sky Sports, including during the 2022 Rugby League World Cup. Both broadcasters have also declined to comment.
